Three Hats was created to help simplify the wedding and events process. We know people are busy making it hard to schedule meetings and appointments. Coordinating events on your own can be stressful and time-consuming. We are here to help make your special event easier.  One day Britta the talented florist realized she could help streamline the event process by bringing together Sarah a gifted photographer and Lexi a creative baker to create the Three Hats!

About Us

The Florist

When I was 15 years old one of my first jobs was working in a catering kitchen for a mountaintop villa in New Hampshire. I would serve horderves, set up tables and chairs, refill chafing dishes all the usual things. I will never forget the very first time I saw the local florist pulls up onto this massive, lush lawn on the property. The van doors flew open all of these people spilled out onto the grass. I remember these massive bountiful bouquets of hydrangea, roses, lilac and sweet smelling stock. They were intoxicating. I will never forget how that one person took a plain white tent and tables and single- handedly turned it into a fairytale.

Floral jobs and apprenticeships at traditional and non-traditional floral shops around the metro introduced me to a variety of styles and techniques including working in a greenhouse where I learned to embrace all the wonder of using fresh local foliages and perennial cuttings. There is where I fell in love with Tillandsia and Succulents which have become part of Iron Violets Design Studios signature look. Being a part of Three Hats Wedding Essentials feels like my journey has officially come full circle. I am immensely proud to be working with these two unique artists to bring all of our clients the wow and wonder that I experienced for the first time all those years ago. As a team, we can create fairytale events by streamlining the process and making it three times easier than our competition.

The Baker

As an award winning studio art major, I use food as a medium to create sweet, unique and personal treats to delight you, be the perfect gift, or the stand-out addition to any event.

My goal as your baker is to provide you with confections for all your guests to enjoy, no matter their dietary restrictions, that add a personal layer to your event to ensure you make memories that last a lifetime.  All the while, knowing the ingredients you're serving your friends and loved ones are wholesome ingredients that you can feel good about. From traditional flavors to unique combinations, I enjoy working with each client to create a one of a kind experience for their unforgettable event.

It would be my pleasure to work with you and share the sweetness of my ambition as we customize the treats for any occasion you might be planning. I encourage you to think outside the box and don't be afraid to throw a curve ball. Ask anyone, I will embrace the challenge.

The Photographer

I've always loved art and artistic expression of all kinds.  I also consider myself a very sentimental and family-oriented individual.

For as long as I can remember, I've enjoyed paging through photo books of friends and family, and asking for explanations of who the people are, and what events are taking place.  Shortly before the birth of our two children, my husband bought me my first "real" camera.  Even though I had other cameras prior to this, this camera was something deeply important to me.  Suddenly, not only did I have the most beautiful, inspiring little people in my life, but the right piece of equipment, to see, and capture these special moments making up our lives.  My heart was full, and I wanted very much to share this feeling with others.

In addition to the deep sentiment that is innately me, one of my stronger points is a good "eye" for balance, symmetry, aesthetics and pleasing lighting. I feel that the combination of these two strengths is what makes for happy customers.  I always strive to get my clients to feel as comfortable as possible.  I remember a bride told me on her wedding day, (this being the third time we had met) that she felt she'd known me all her life.  This simple statement was just as important to me, as when I hear someone is pleased with the pictures I've taken for them.  Whether it be a couple during first looks, a shy child, or a same-sex couple exchanging sentiments, their comfort with me is of the utmost importance.

Though weddings are my most extensive in terms of experience, I have also captured birthdays, graduations, and "glamour" type photos.  I am proud to share my client base is composed of a wide base of individuals including those of varying ethnic backgrounds and orientations. We look forward to the prospect of working with you dear reader, and can assure you, our trio not only excels in their prospective crafts but also excels at providing exceptional customer service! Thanks for stopping by, we look forward to hearing from you!
